  • Edcuation Qulaification

    Educational qualification is one of the primary Indian Army Technical eligibility criteria. The following list points out the educational qualifications that a candidate needs to secure for being eligible to appear for the Indian Army Technical exam 2020-21:

    • Candidates need to pass 10+2 from Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as the main subjects
    • They have to achieve at least 50% aggregate
    • The candidates must secure at least 40% marks in each of the subjects mentioned earlier
    • Rounding off percentage will not be considered valid. It means 49.9% will be taken as less than 50% and hence not eligible for the Indian Army Soldier Technical post
    • The candidates must pass 10+2 from an educational board recognized by the Government of India
    • Only the candidates passing out from an educational board listed by COBSE, AICTE, NIOS, and CBSE will be considered eligible for the Indian Army Technical exam 2020-21
    • Candidates appearing for the final 10+2 exam can appear for the Indian Army Technical exam 2020-21. But they must ensure to present the passing out certificate and valid mark sheet during the documents submission stage
  • Age Limit in Army Technician

    Age limit is one of the main criteria for any job-related examination. Going with the rules, Indian Army has set up the following Indian Army Technical Age Limit:

    • The candidates must be of at least 17 years and 6 months and not more than 23 years
    • Indian Army doesn't allow any age relaxation for the Indian Army Technical post

    #Chest: Chest measurement is also one of the major qualification criteria set by the Indian Army. Army Technical Medical Fitness Criteria

Medical fitness is one of the pillars of the Indian Army Technical qualification requirements. A candidate willing to appear for the Indian Army Technical post must qualify with the following medical fitness requirements:

  • The candidate must be mentally sound and stable
  • The candidate must have good hearing ability and eyesight
  • The candidate must be eligible to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with both eyes as shown by Martin's lantern
  • The candidate must be able to recognize all colors separately
  • The candidate must have healthy gum and at least 14 dental points
  • The candidate must not have any deforming diseases like piles, hydrocele, etc.


Army Technical Martial Status

Any married man above the age of 21 years but below 23 years will be considered eligible for the Indian Army Technical post. Married men below the age of 21 years are not eligible for the aforementioned post. However, if a man below 21 years of age is married to the wife of his deceased brother, he can be considered eligible. Though in such special cases the final decision will be taken by the recruitment rally.



Army Technical Nationality

All Indian male citizens are considered eligible for the Indian Army Technical post if they fulfill the other Indian Army Technical eligibility criteria. Other than Indians, a subject of Nepal or migrants of Indian origin from Pakistan, Ethiopia, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Vietnam

Burma, Sri Lanka can apply for the Indian Army Technical post. However, such migrated people must prove their intention to permanently settle in India to fulfill the Indian Army Technical qualification requirement.



Army Technical Gender Criteria

Only males fulfilling the Indian Army Technical qualification requirements are considered eligible for the Indian Army Technical post.
