Medical fitness is one of the pillars of the Indian Army Technical qualification requirements. A candidate willing to appear for the Indian Army Technical post must qualify with the following medical fitness requirements:
Any married man above the age of 21 years but below 23 years will be considered eligible for the Indian Army Technical post. Married men below the age of 21 years are not eligible for the aforementioned post. However, if a man below 21 years of age is married to the wife of his deceased brother, he can be considered eligible. Though in such special cases the final decision will be taken by the recruitment rally.
All Indian male citizens are considered eligible for the Indian Army Technical post if they fulfill the other Indian Army Technical eligibility criteria. Other than Indians, a subject of Nepal or migrants of Indian origin from Pakistan, Ethiopia, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Vietnam
Burma, Sri Lanka can apply for the Indian Army Technical post. However, such migrated people must prove their intention to permanently settle in India to fulfill the Indian Army Technical qualification requirement.
